Rules & Regulations of Crime Research and Investigation Agency of India

1.1 Crime Research and Investigation Agency of India (CRIAI) is established with the aim to enhance national security, combat crime, and promote public safety through efficient investigation, research, and analysis.
1.2 These Rules & Regulations govern the operations, conduct, and responsibilities of CRIAI personnel and stakeholders.

Mission and Objectives

2.1 To conduct thorough and impartial investigations into criminal activities within the jurisdiction of India.
2.2 To collaborate with national and international law enforcement agencies for the exchange of information and expertise.
2.3 To conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends, patterns, and threats in criminal activities.
2.4 To uphold the principles of justice, integrity, and professionalism in all endeavors.

Code of Conduct

3.1 CRIAI personnel shall adhere to the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct.
3.2 Personnel shall respect the rights and dignity of all individuals, irrespective of their status or affiliation.
3.3 Confidentiality of investigations and sensitive information shall be maintained at all times.
3.4 Personnel shall refrain from engaging in any activities that may compromise the integrity or impartiality of investigations.
3.5 Any form of discrimination, harassment, or misconduct will not be tolerated and shall be subject to disciplinary action.

Investigation Procedures

4.1 Investigations shall be conducted diligently, impartially, and in accordance with the laws of India.
4.2 Evidence collection and preservation shall follow standard protocols to ensure admissibility and reliability.
4.3 Interrogations and interviews shall be conducted professionally, respecting the rights of suspects and witnesses.
4.4 Collaboration with relevant authorities and stakeholders shall be sought where necessary to facilitate investigations.
4.5 Regular updates and reports shall be provided to senior management and relevant agencies regarding the progress of investigations.

Data Protection and Privacy

5.1 CRIAI shall comply with applicable data protection laws and regulations to safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of individuals.
5.2 Personal data collected during investigations shall be used only for lawful purposes and with proper authorization.
5.3 Measures shall be implemented to secure data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration.
5.4 Access to sensitive information shall be restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.

Training and Development

6.1 CRIAI shall provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of its personnel.
6.2 Training programs shall cover areas such as investigation techniques, legal procedures, and emerging technologies.
6.3 Personnel shall be encouraged to pursue continuous professional development to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Compliance and Accountability

7.1 CRIAI shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and directives issued by competent authorities.
7.2 Personnel shall be accountable for their actions and decisions, and shall cooperate fully with internal and external audits and reviews.
7.3 Any violations of these Rules & Regulations shall be promptly investigated, and appropriate disciplinary or legal action shall be taken.
7.4 Grievance mechanisms shall be in place to address complaints from personnel or external stakeholders.

Amendments and Interpretation

8.1 These Rules & Regulations may be amended from time to time by the competent authority.
8.2 Any disputes or questions regarding the interpretation or application of these Rules & Regulations shall be resolved by the designated authority.

Effective Date

9.1 These Rules & Regulations shall come into effect upon approval by the competent authority.
9.2 All personnel and stakeholders shall be informed of the effective date and requirements of these Rules & Regulations.
These Rules & Regulations are intended to guide the operations and conduct of Crime Research and Investigation Agency of India and ensure the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability in fulfilling its mandate.

In case of loss of the identity Card, inform the National Office in writing along with the F.I.R. immediately.

All CRIAI members should contact their respective Area Committee / State Committee / National Committee. Office once in a month Compulsory.

The Members and Officers of CRIAI are working on voluntary basis and no payment is given to them. Membership is non-transferable and once the payment is made, it is non-refundable.

On expiry, the Identity Cards must be submitted to the National Office. After expiry, renewal is a must for regular membership.

In case of change of address, Member should inform the same to the National Office.

Strict action will be taken against the Member, if found guilty floating the rules and regulations of CRIAI, and are also punishable under the Society Act.

Any kind of misbehavior or misconduct may result in rejection of membership of CRIAI.

CRIAI will not be responsible for any mis-use of Identity Card issued to the Members during the course of their Membership with CRIAI.

2. I honestly declare that I will not involve myself directly or indirectly in any act which will be against the prestige of our Nation, Society, CRIAI as well.
3. I will abide by the rules and regulations and Bye-Laws of the CRIAI in force from time to time.
